BOOKS I BOUGHT ON KINDLE
I don’t want to be guilty of telling you the obvious, but many good genealogy books can be bought cheaply if you get the Kindle version. The first group of titles below are Kindle books I bought on Amazon; however, that does not mean they are still available. You’ll have to check on Amazon or wherever else you can buy books, but don’t be too gullible. Many of these books are available to read for FREE at archive.org or JSTOR.org, as well as other sites like Family Search or Google Books.
I love old books because they were written closer to the time of the events that interest me, but there are certainly some newer books that are also helpful, especially family histories. I think my favorite is The Jamestown Brides, below.
BOOKS ON KINDLE THAT INTEREST ME
Here are some interesting-looking books I found today that are available on Kindle. I might try to buy a couple of them, even though I generally do not research beyond the immigrant. Since all my ancestral lines that I know of arrived here before the Revolution, I figure that’s back far enough. If I do go back further, it will probably be to learn more about my ancestors’ religious motivations for coming here. I’m sure the list of available books is constantly changing on Amazon, so don’t count on this article being true a month from now.
What is your experience with Kindle? What books do you have or recommend? What books would you like to see on Kindle?
Yes, Kindle books are great!
