INTRODUCTION
This name is part of my ancestry, and I believe they came from Switzerland. It could have been Germany, however. There are many different spellings that I have seen: Longanacre, Longacre, and Longanecker. I think I have also seen Longnecker, but that name did not show up in the WV Vital Records for Births. You may want to do some searches with that name anyway. In this post, I will do a search using LONGA*. This should pull up the other spellings, except for Longnecker.
