I know there were a number of Quakers who ended up in N.C./Tn. I haven't had time yet to research my Quaker roots on my maternal side (in Tn./Ky.). Do you know where in Va./W. Va. Quaker families might have moved?
I can't answer that, but my assumption is that they were not centralized. I have not come across any information about Quaker meetings in southern WV. My ancestor Ruth Nevitt married in Frederick County outside the faith to James Ellis Sr. in 1769. They were in Augusta/Greenbrier for awhile but divorced in 1788. She was married to Nicholas Null by John Alderson in Greenbrier County in 1790. She died in Kanawha County in 1812, but I don't know (yet) how long she lived there. I find no mention of Quakers in 'History of Greenbrier County'. The only mention in 'History of Charleston and Kanawha County, West Virginia and Representative Citizens' concerns people coming of "Quaker stock". So it appears to me that they did not continue "quaking" after coming to southern WV. If you find out otherwise, please let me know.

I certainly will. I have never seen a single mention of Quakers (in Webster, Nicholas, Fayette, Greenbrier, or Monroe) in my research.
